    Graduate Assistant – Rohrbach Library - User Experience and Accessibility

    The User Experience and Accessibility Library Graduate Assistant will support digital accessibility remediation, content curation and creation, user experience, and qualitative research at Rohrbach Library. Responsibilities will include assisting the User Experience Librarian and Digital Accessibility Liaison (DAL) with auditing and remediating library website content, research guides, and reserve collections for the April 2026 WCAG 2.1 standards deadline. The GA will also assist with developing sustainable accessibility workflows for the remediation process; conducting qualitative research interviews with 
    library stakeholders, user observation studies; and analyzing data to identify patterns and insights.

    • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Ability to work independently on multiple projects
    • Basic comfort with technology and willingness to learn new tools

    Preferred Experience (not required):
    • Background in communication design, website design, information science, or 
    related fields
    • Familiarity with qualitative research methods
    • Interested in user-centered and/or inclusive design

    • Curiosity about how people use technology and information
    • Problem-solving mindset, adaptability, and creativity

    This position is ideal for students seeking to develop research competencies, understand accessibility standards, or gain practical experience in user experience and information organization while contributing meaningful to university goals.
