The Graduate Assistant will provide financial aid customer service to prospective and current students in the form of phone calls, face-to-face meetings, and via various forms of social media. The GA will assist the Assistant Director for Federal Student Loans with the implementation of the office’s new financial literacy program, Financial Avenues. Finally, the GA will become familiar with the financial aid needs of students and parents by assisting financial aid counselors and the front line staff as needed.
The Graduate Assistant will become familiar with the financial aid process, including applications, certification procedures, disbursement, academic progress requirements, etc.
This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours for the fall and spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester. Please contact Bernard McCree for additional information if needed at mccree@kutztown.edu.
