    Graduate Assistant - Counselor Education #3

    Graduate Assistants in the Department of Counselor Education work from 11:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. Monday, Thursday during regular semesters. They conduct literature reviews for faculty and manage data collection and analysis of surveys for purposes of accreditation. They maintain multiple databases, collect national and state information on counselor education programs, and collaborate with faculty to monitor policy changes in the field. They produce the department newsletter and use social media for advocacy and marketing initiatives. They represent the Department at information sessions for prospective students, and manage the department resource library and lab facilities for student use. GAs in the Department of Counselor Education mush have excellent library research skills, interpersonal skills, and skills with Word, Excel, and Survey Monkey (the ability to use SPSS is also helpful). Candidates should be extremely organized, flexible with diverse work styles, initiative, and able to complete tasks in timely manner. The best candidate for this position will have impeccable communication and interpersonal skills.

    This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours per fall and spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per fall and spring semester.  Please contact Deborah Duenyas for additional information if needed at duenyas@kutztown.edu.
