    Graduate Assistant - Women’s Center and LGBTQ+ Resource Center

    The duties of this graduate assistant position support both the KU Women’s Center and the KU LGBTQ+ Resource Center.  This position is designed to meet the needs of students at both centers in terms of daily activities with the campus, advising a student organization, and a focus on student engagement, marketing, and assessment.  This position is directly supervised by the Director and works as a team player among staff at various levels. The successful candidate must be available to work 20 hours per week; have experience planning, organizing and promoting events, be open to understanding the needs of students who identify as women and with the LGBTQ+ community; be comfortable working to serve underrepresented, marginalized groups; become knowledgeable about Women’s centered and LGBTQ+ issues; be willing to attend meetings, and trainings to increase their knowledge on related topics; be a strong leader among their peers in an environment that requires professionalism, compassion, and flexibility; possess strong communication and interpersonal skills; be characterized as approachable, hard-working, adaptable, and someone who takes initiative, and be an advocate for human rights.  A detailed position description can be obtained by emailing price@kutztown.edu or biehl@kutztown.edu.
