    Graduate Assistant - Department of Art Education – Design Assistant Program Support

    This position includes assisting and supporting the office manager and department members by utilizing and growing your skills in leadership and outreach! You will be involved in sharing out social media posts, working on the annual conference and other programs, activities, and duties as assigned that support and promote the art education undergraduate and graduate programs.  Qualifications include: Strong computer skills to support and assist with the Department’s online presence including social media and website platform knowledge; creation of print and digital design work, as well as research, database collection, and management  The graduate assistant should be self-motivated, organized, and energetic, coupled with the ability to efficiently and effectively complete assigned tasks while also demonstrating initiative.  Professionalism and strong communication skills with diverse populations are essential.  The position requires an on-campus presence between 8-4.  The schedule will be created in conversation with the department office manager and chair.  Preference will be given to a graduate student in the College of Visual and performing Arts but students in other colleges will also be considered.

    This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours per fall and spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per fall and spring semester.  Please contact Dr. Amy Pfeiler-Wunder for additional information if needed at wunder@kutztown.edu.
