This Graduate Assistantship (GA) in the Psychology Department will assist all psychology faculty and students and is one of two GA positions in the department. This GA will primarily serve as a tutor for psychology courses (e.g., general psychology, personality, psychopathology, statistics, research methods). Additional responsibilities for this GA may include assisting department faculty for “simple” assignments such as collecting materials from students, showing a video, or explaining an assignment; proctoring exams and make-up exams; and delivering and collecting exams from DSO and/or Copy Center. Additional professional development exists via exposure to psychology faculty and discussions in the psychology department; opportunities to participate in and co-author research as well as attend conferences; and attendance at special department events (e.g., speakers).
This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours per semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester. Please contact Jason Lanter for additional information if needed at lanter@kutztown.edu.
