The College of Visual and Performing Arts Deans Office seeks a design graduate assistant to complete a diverse range of tasks related to the graphic design, interactive/web design and marketing needs of the College and its Departments. This may include, but is not limited to, 1) creating print, digital, and interactive design pieces, 2) managing social media presence, 3) updating website, and 4) assistance with VPA programming, including open houses, award ceremonies, and other events. The graduate assistant will report to the Associate Dean of VPA.The applicant must have: strong background in graphic and interactive design; proficiency in professional design software; experience managing social media platforms; willingness to take direction as well as work independently; strong attention to detail; and ability to effectively communicate with persons of diverse backgrounds. This position will also require significant work in assisting the VPA Director of Galleries, including assisting with exhibits and marketing gallery programs.
This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours per fall and spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per fall and spring semester. Please contact Bradley Shope for additional information if needed at shope@kutztown.edu.
