The Graduate Assistantship in the Elementary, Middle Level, Library and Technologies Education Department is available to graduate students who would like experience in scholarly research and assisting faculty with technology, assessment, data collection and curriculum development. This position provides opportunities to work professionally with faculty on the KU Children’s Literature Conference, where the assistant will gain experience in public relations, website maintenance, grant writing, and organizational preparation necessary to manage a conference.
The graduate assistant will also aid faculty with literature searches for course development, scholarly presentations/articles/books and program reviews; research and construct materials for course development, class support and presentations; contact local school district personnel; provide technology assistance; aid data collection and analysis for research and program reviews; assist professors with specific research projects; assist in compiling data from surveys and questionnaires; support coordinators of programs; aid in the development of brochures and graphic
This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours per semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester. Please contact Tracy Keyes for additional information if needed at keyes@kutztown.edu.
