The Graduate Assistant for New Student Orientation is an integral member of the Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Division & reports directly to the Director of New Student Orientation. This position supports the Director in planning, implementing, & assessing the university’s freshmen, parent/family and transfer orientation programs as well as Welcome Week programming and services. The Graduate Assistant is expected to be student-centered, administratively sound, task-oriented, have the ability to problem solve, work autonomously as well as with a team, & be proficient with computers & technology. Small & large group facilitation skills, strong customer service skills, appreciation for diversity, equity and inclusion & the ability to work successfully with a variety of constituents. Prior experience in new student orientation is required.
This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours for the Spring 2024 semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9-graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester. Please contact Lisa Grabowski for additional information if needed at grabowsk@kutztown.edu.
